Used Lada Niva

The brand name of Lada is one of the very few car makers known outside the Eastern Block countries before the cold war finished. Although the car is not full of luxuries and presents some out-dated solutions in certain areas, it can be seen just as a perfect buy if one is on a tight budget and needs and wants a small off-roader. The used Lada Niva may not be the world\'s most advanced vehicles. But thanks to its simple mechanicals and basic equipment levels not too many things can go wrong. And, if the driver is just a little bit familiar with the way the car works and has some tools at hand, he may be able to solve the issue on the spot. Like the vast majority of cars from Eastern Europe, the used Lada Niva was under constant improvement throughout all the years on sale in the United Kingdom. And in 1986 a special edition model called Cossack was launched. Unlike its predecessors, it had some extra equipment on board which consisted of such features like the sunroof for example. The used Lada Niva came with two sorts of engines: a 1.6 litre and a 1.7 litre later on. The 1.6-litre version was a sort of success as it was almost amazing to find a small four-wheel drive which could be so cheap. It was also one of those cars almost not vulnerable to the economic phenomenon of depreciation and as such making just a perfect used buy. Even now the car’s values drop at a relatively slow rate so one will not lose much while deciding to buy a used Lada Niva. The Niva is not a right vehicle for drivers who are not able to live without using the latest technology in their cars. Yet, it is a very good buy for someone who is either enthusiast about off-roaders or simply wants a cheap car which can do a lot, but is not a sort of palace for travelling at the same time.
